THE CAST!

Mari Ashley Solinski (aka The Improbable Girl) is a headstrong, adventurous gal who cures her frequent boredom by coming up with schemes to help her and Zandra reach their goal of becoming world-famous journalists. Mari’s got a similar sarcastic streak as Selena Gomez on “Wizards of Waverly Place”, so Ms. Gomez seems a perfect fit to play The Improbable Girl!

Zandra Mari Niko (aka The Wonder Kitty) is the more cautious of the duo. At first glance, she seems anxious and nervous. But while she might be a bit more naïve and insular compared to her best friend Mari, Zandra is still smart and capable. Plus she can turn into a cat! If you’ve seen America Ferrera in “Ugly Betty” or “Superstore” or really anything, you know she can pull off Zandra’s delicate emotional range.

Tough. Stern. Compassionate. It’s a challenging role for anyone who’s going to play Major General J.E. Kawallis, the head of the Air Force’s Lion Squad. Robert Downey, Jr. definitely has experience playing the leader of a group of augmented humans. While Kawallis may not have the same twinkle in his eye as Tony Stark, Downey can certainly handle walking the emotional tightrope of a man charged with getting the best out of two young women who find themselves in circumstances outside of their control.

A bit arrogant. A bit loud. A bit of a troublemaker. A few years ago if one would suggest that the same guy who played Neville Longbottom could also pull off the role of Sir Percival Forbes-Smyth, the Royal Air Force flight lieutenant attached to Lion Force, it would have been a non-starter. But Matthew Lewis has grown considerably since his Harry Potter days (both figuratively and literally) and would be perfect in the role of the brash and brave war hero (and a potential love interest for Mari!).

We can talk about why Molly Ringwald has the acting chops to pull off portraying the acerbic News and Foreign desk editor of the Lion Gazette Peggy O’Shea, but at the end of the day, we all know we need her in this role to re-unite with Robert Downey, Jr., her co-star in “The Pick-Up Artist”!

Imagine if Andy Dwyer from “Parks and Rec” was actually competent? Then you’ve got yourself Charlie Murphy, the Lion Gazette’s handsome chief of security. Charlie’s good-natured demeanor hides a hard-nosed detective with some serious sleuthing skills. Chris Pratt can absolutely pull off the vibe of goofy action hero and as Zandra’s main squeeze, he and America would come up with some comedy gold!
