What inspires you to create?
To be honest, I just have a feeling that I want to write, be it prose, comics, or screenplays. I like the creative process and bringing about stories about things that interest me and I tend to be surprised by other people liking it.
What’s your creative process?
I tend to handwrite to get the idea out, using pen or pencil and paper to break out an idea into a plot and then I go to a computer and use software for writing; Fade In for screenplays and now googledocs for comics and prose. I cannot visualize so I realized when I write it tends to be rhythmic. There’s a flow when I write and that goes from idea to outline to draft then to rewrites until I’m happy with the results.
Tools of the trade:
An Apica notebook in A6 size with a TWSBI Eco fountain pen with whatever color I’m feeling for that time. I also prefer pencils so I always carry a Blackwing pencil and a large Apica-like notebook in A5 size. I also carry an Ipad with keyboard and google docs on the ready.
