What inspires you to create?
I am inspired by seeing so many awesome, talented folks out there doing their own comics and zines. Also, there is God-given inspiration: if you are born to create, then that’s what you have to do!
What’s your creative process?
Generally, it starts with an idea. If it’s a comic, then I write out a rough plot, then the script (this is the point where it becomes exciting, because then you have something tangible and you can’t wait to see it illustrated). Once it’s in print, you can’t help but be inspired to do more.
Tools of the trade:
My brain and the talent that God gave me. I’m primarily a writer and publisher, but when I do decide to illustrate my own comics, my tools are simple: 67# Bristol board, various markers, and good old reliable Flair pens.
