What inspires you to create?
It’s a compulsion; I find my day job to be insufferable to the point where going home and watching tv just doesn’t cut it anymore. I need to build up worlds from scratch.
What’s your creative process?
I usually write first. I have a 6-issue arc plotted out for my flagship fantasy series “Badger” and once I figured out the mechanics of where I needed everyone to move I let my characters’ personalities work out the details for me.
Tools of the trade:
I use a Faber Castell HB or Fine on Strathmore 11×17 Bristol Card and then hand letter and ink with micron fineliners, a 102 and 513 nib and this awesome asian brush pen I can’t remember the name of. Anything I do in colour is done in Ibis Paint on a Samsung Tab A.
