What inspires you to create?
I think it comes from a natural place of wanting to express myself, my beliefs and my opinions. I’ve always loved stories and art, and so comics are quite literally the perfect way for me to express myself.
What’s your creative process?
I write a page by page outline, then do my thumbnails. I do this to try and tell the story as visually as possible. After that, I write dialogue based on the thumbnails, and begin penciling and inking on paper. After my pages are done, I bring them onto krita for me to colour, and add some paper filters. Then I bring it into canva for letters and I’m done!
Tools of the trade:
I use printer paper because you can get like 500 sheets for pretty cheap. Coloured pencils for the sketches, and zebra brush pens for the inks, as well as a dry erase marker to get those bigger spots. I don’t have a drawing tablet so my art style has evolved for me to completely rely on the paint bucket tool
