What inspires you to create?
I wasn’t seeing the kind of comics that I love and want to read, so I decided to create my own. Also, seeing great comic art and storytelling from talents like Jack Kirby and Tom Scioli sends me straight to the drawing table.
What’s your creative process?
Before I begin a comic, I make an outline of my story. I then draw character designs and collect reference material. After that I thumbnail each page, pencil, ink, and letter.
Tools of the trade:
Pencils, microns, brush pens, Ames Lettering guide and light board.
