Sample work:

What inspires you to create?
I’m inspired to create out of my yearning for sharing and communicating my ideas. Being a comic artist is not a party. It’s A LOT of work. You need to be an introvert and be obsessed with the work otherwise it will just be poster art. I don’t care about producing “pretty” art. I just have to do my comics art. It isn’t that I want to. I have to. It’s the only thing I truly excel at in my life.
What’s your creative process?
I’ve never considered myself a writer even though I’ve wrote all my stories. I’m a visual person and see images way before I see a story or page design. Sometimes other artists inspire me or sometimes I wake up and have an idea for a story or page and it’s my obsession in taking things from my mind and putting ’em on white paper.
Tools of the trade:
For a decade now I’ve been doing my comics/art with very simple tools, a drafting mechanical pencil and PITT pens. After I do all the line set I use my brushes and really go to town on fattening my lines so they POP. I also use grey washes of my ink and watercolor pencils.
