“You can’t have the Small Press Hero Spotlight without Terry. He is THE small press hero! His Facebook group is what inspired this website in the first place, and inspiration is a great way to describe him. Terry’s been creating comics since the ’90s, and he’s one of the best in the small press. His love of classic strips like “Calvin and Hobbes” and “Peanuts” is very clear in his own style. He’s such an amazing artist. He’s drawing constantly and he can draw anything and everything.

Also just a great guy. A lot of his artwork is created as gifts for others’ birthdays, retirements and other special occasions, which really speaks to his generosity. He’s really passionate about the small press and is always encouraging of all the creators he comes across. And just a fantastic storyteller. Terry has such a strong grasp of how a story should flow, he makes it look effortless. I also appreciate that he’s still creating old-school, using colored markers and pencils; it really gives his covers and pin-ups a distinct style and showcases how well he works both in black/white and color.”
